Loft Apartments
is in
easy walking distance of the Sydney CBD, Sydney University, UTS,
Broadway shopping complex, Star Casino, Paddy's Market and many other
local attractions. First built in 1895, Dalgety Square was once the
Farmers and Graziers No.1 Wool Store. There were nineteen similar
enormous brick structures in the Pyrmont/Ultimo area. Here, wool from
the grazing lands awaited shipment overseas. By the 1960's the inner
city congestion caused the industry to move further west. Now, from the
comfort of Sydney Loft Apartments, you can explore the refurbished local
area with easy access to the Harbour and the Central Business District

THE
LORD WOLSELEY HOTEL, ULTIMO
Built in 1881, the Lord Wolseley Hotel is regarded as the smallest hotel
in New South Wales. In 1996 the hotel was renovated to provide extra
accommodation and in 2004, Violante's Italian Restaurant was opened. The
hotel offers casual accommodation with a relaxed do-it-yourself
breakfast with rooftop views of Ultimo and Pyrmont. The area is steeped
in the history of early settlement. The Harris family were the dominant
landowners in the area for over 100 years and a nearby street bears
their name. Nine rooms are available. Seven have shared bathroom and
toilet facilities and 2 have ensuites. |
